Reliving your childhood for one hour a week makes a BIG impact. |
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Puget Sound is looking for caring, fun-loving adults to volunteer for one hour per week at Bellevue’s Stevenson Elementary and Lake Hills Elementary in our School-Based mentoring program.
How much of a difference can one hour per week make in the life of a child? You’d be amazed! With a mentor, kids feel better about school and better about themselves.
School-Based mentoring makes school fun! As a School-Based Big Brother or Big Sister, you can improve the life of a local child simply by spending just one hour a week with your Little at his or her school. Matches participate in a range of fun activities, including board games, talking, laughing, eating lunch together, doing homework, and playing outside.

Having a mentor makes a BIG difference in a child’s
life. The results of a two year study show that students
involved in Big Brothers Big Sisters’ School-Based
program developed
more
positive attitudes toward school, achieved higher grades
in math, social studies, and languages, experienced
improved relationships with adults and peers, and had
increased self-confidence.
Become a School-Based mentor and we’ll match you with a child who has similar interests as you. School-Based mentoring isn’t about tutoring; it’s about being an adult role model and a friend. Becoming a School-Based Big is a fun, easy way to make a BIG difference in the life of a local child.
