Bellevue loves
jazz. Or maybe it’s the other way around, jazz
loves Bellevue. Jazz in Bellevue dated back to
more than 30 years ago when Bellevue first
hosted a jazz festival featuring Northwest jazz
performers, school groups and local artists in
1978. Through 1993, the jazz festival was an
annual staple for Bellevue in the summer months
on the lawn of Bellevue Community College. |

After a 16 years hiatus, the jazz festival was revived in 2008 when the Bellevue Downtown Association took over
from the Parks Department as organizer of the event. Since its rebirth last year, jazz has reconnected with its roots and is really thriving in Bellevue.
Today, Bellevue celebrates jazz year round and every
night is Bellevue Jazz Festival night. On any given night
you can catch local and regional jazz artists delighting
audiences of jazz aficionados, young jazz enthusiasts
and musical artists at diverse venues throughout
Bellevue. |

Bellevuelous Jazz
The Bellevue Jazz Festival scene gets an extra kick each spring with the annual, multi-venue series of jazz events presented by the BDA.
The spring-time jazz series is quickly becoming a
